Beaconsfield Veterinary Centre

Our Staff

Steve - Practice owner & Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Steve was born and bred in South Australia, so much so that he still follows the Adelaide Crows, even though he has lived longer in Victoria. He considers himself lucky, as from the age of 5 years, he was always going to be a Vet. After high school, a Vet degree wasn't on offer in South Australia, so he moved to Victoria to follow his passion, and has lived here ever since. He started out in Bacchus Marsh, then Mansfield, Rowville, Avonsleigh and finally he started his own practice in Beaconsfield. He lives with his beautiful wife, 2 lovely boys, 2 horses, 2 guinea pigs, 3 chooks, 2 dogs and a cat. For some reason he is reluctant to buy a farm!

Alina ~ Veterinary Surgeon

Alina graduated in 2008 with Honours from the University of Melbourne. She then left Melbourne to work in Albury/Wodonga for 2 years in a busy small animal practice, where she got lots of valuable experience. After enjoying regional life she then decided to return to Melbourne to be closer to family and friends. Upon returning in February 2011 she joined the team at Beaconsfield. She is the proud owner of a cuddly cat called Midnight and two playful Staffy X Mastiffs called Lilly and Rusty. She has a particular interest in small animal medicine and has completed her membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Internal Medicine. She is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ultrasound.

Brendan ~ Veterinary Surgeon

Brendan graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours in 2012 and started work at Beaconsfield straight after Vet School. He has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine and ultrasonography and has just finished a year long distance education course in small animal internal medicine from the University of Sydney. Brendan loves Pugs and any short-nosed breed dog, so if you have one please come and see him! Brendan is a passionate Hawthorn supporter and in his spare time enjoys playing guitar/bass in his band. He is the proud owner of a gorgeous Pug named Darla, two cats named Buckwheat and Duncan.

David ~ Veterinary Surgeon

After deciding the time was right for a change in career direction, David headed off to vet school and graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours in 2007. Not being a fan of mud or flies, David commenced work in small animal practice straight after graduating, and has also recently spent some time working as a small animal emergency vet. He has a particular interest in feline medicine and soft tissue surgery. When not at work, David is kept in line by his multitude of cats (including a highly strung Bengal and Abyssinian), dogs, and horses and is fortunate to be supported by his gorgeous wife and sports mad son (Go Blues!) with a second child on the way!

She started as a cattery attendant in 2005, and then made the transition into nursing just 2 days after graduating from High School in 2007. When she was little, she wanted to be 'The Possum Lady' and living next to the Dandenong Ranges National Park gave her plenty of practice! She still has a keen interest in our native wildlife.
